There is so much to do in Tasmania and so many adventure experiences just waiting to blow you away.
Did you know that Tasmania has the world's highest commercial abseil? And why wouldn't you want to throw yourself off a dam wall in the middle of remote wilderness? Trust us... It might sound a little mad, but you'll never forget it and it will leave you absolutely pumped for more!
There are also incredible caving experiences and even canyoning in the Cradle Mountain National Park. These experiences are family friendly and suitable for most fitness levels, so you needn't leave Grandma in the hotel by herself... If you're serious about accessible adventure, try zip lining over native forests with Hollybank Wilderness Adventures, or four wheeling with one of several operators in south, east and western Tasmania. There are also guided horse riding experiences and even a horse cuddling experience (OK, that one may not be overly adventurous, but as if it wouldn't be good for the soul!).
Down south, intrepid and experiences rock climbers can tackle the Totem Pole on the Tasman Peninsula, or surf Shipstern Bluff, featured recently in the Red Bull Cape Fear Surf Contest.
