Make a booking - your full name, address, email address and phone number are taken each time you make a booking with hobarttracelcentre.com.au

Contact us via hobarttravelcentre.com.au – your full name, email address and/or telephone number may be requested when you submit a query or suggestion or request assistance with a booking.

Request a brochure or make a purchase that requires postage – your full name, address and contact phone number in case of difficulty will be requested.

Purchase Hobart Travel Centre products or services - information collected when you purchase from hobarttravelcentre.com.au is used to charge your credit card and deliver your booking confirmation electronically. We may also contact you about your booking for customer service purposes or to make any changes or cancellations to your booking.

Respond to your questions or suggestions - we will use your address, email address and/or telephone number to contact you when you submit a question, suggestion or request for our complimentary brochure delivery service.
Our website does not collect or store credit card details and payment transactions occur directly between your bank and the SecurePay Payment gateway provider.
The City of Hobart only uses personal information provided by you for the purposes for which it was collected and for any other use authorised or required by law, including law enforcement and compliance activities.
The City of Hobart will not collect sensitive information about you without your express consent and unless the collection is required by law.
The City of Hobart is committed to maintaining the accuracy of our customers' information. The City of Hobart will respond to your requests to correct inaccurate information in a timely manner.
The City of Hobart has procedures in place to limit access to your personal information to those employees with a business reason for knowing such information. For example, your details will not be shared outside of the Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre and are not visible to staff that work in other areas of the council. City of Hobart employees are educated about the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy. Where the City of Hobart out sources functions that involve the collection, utilisation and/or holding of personal information, such as through booking contractors, for example, BookEasy™, contractual measures are taken to ensure that the contractors and subcontractors do not act in a way that would amount to a breach of privacy standards. These vendors and service companies are required to maintain the confidentiality of this information and abide by all applicable laws.
Whenever it is lawful and practicable to do so, you will be given the option of not identifying yourself when dealing with the City of Hobart.
How do we use your information?
TTIC uses your information for the purpose of responding to and fulfilling your requests for our products and services.
Who do we share your information with?
TTIC discloses your information to event, accommodation and tour suppliers to enable your booking to be made. We do not disclose information for any other purpose except where authorised by law.
The guest name, telephone number, address and email address for each booking is provided to the relevant supplier. Although TTIC offers Events, Accommodation and Tours from reputable suppliers, we do not have control over how these suppliers use, disclose and manage the information we provide. Therefore, we encourage you to review the privacy policies of any suppliers whose Events and Tours you purchase on hobarttravelcentre.com.au.
How do we keep your information secure?
The hobarttravelcentre.com.au website uses the Bookeasy platform to process bookings, which in turn uses SecurePay payment gateway to process payments securely. SecurePay is Payment Card Industry Data Security (PCI DSS) compliant. All information transmitted via Bookeasy is encrypted for security.
Our website also includes online forms to enable you to contact us and request services. These are also encrypted for secure transmission of your information.
TTIC aims to take all practical steps to secure your information online, however all internet transactions have some inherent risk. Please contact us if you have any concerns regarding the security of your information.
Non-personal information
We may also collect non-personal information in gathering statistical information on how our website is used, or to assist you in navigating through our website.
When visiting this site, a record of your visit is logged. This data is recorded for statistical purposes only and is used to help improve this website. The following information is supplied by your browser (eg: Internet Explorer):
