Day 1
Arriving in Hobart by mid-morning enables you to maximise your time. Where ever you are staying, call ahead to arrange to drop off your bags, you don’t want to waste a moment in this amazing city.
Kick off your stay with a visit to the Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre to say hello, grab your city map and meet our friendly team. We will give you a big warm hello back, you can get your bearings as we introduce you to our city ‘must sees’ and you can book all your tours in one visit. Don’t forget to ask us for your Mt. Field National Park Pass for Day 2. You will not want to miss out on a city tour, such as historical walking tour, hop on – hop off coach, or a shuttle bus to the summit of kunanyi / Mt. Wellington. If you are feeling energetic walking back down ‘the Mountain’ as the locals call it, will wake you to the crisp clean air, stunning views and the beautiful natural environment.
Before heading off on your afternoon adventures grab a bite to eat on the Hobart waterfront, where there is an abundance of cafes, restaurants and our famous fish and chip punts to choose from. Grab your first glass of Tasmanian wine, relax and absorb the Hobart atmosphere.
Freshen up and head back out for dinner. Hobart will not fail to deliver on your gourmet dining experience. There are many foodie precincts in Greater Hobart including Salamanca Place, North Hobart, and Moonah offers a diverse range of cuisines. Choices range the spectrum from fine dining restaurants to the mouth-watering options from the food truck scene. If fine dining is your choice, please ensure that you book ahead as they are that good.Once you have feasted on our fine fare and fuelled those bellies, it’s time to explore for the afternoon. With tickets in hand from your visit to the Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre you are now ready to get out there and enjoy your afternoon tours of this historical city. By late afternoon, you can return to your accommodation for check in.
Hobart’s tour options don’t stop at 5.00 pm. If you are still hungry for more sight-seeing, take a sunset tour of kunanyi / Mt. Wellington or a night tour to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary to see the native nocturnal animals including the Tasmanian Devil and the Quolls. When you are finished for the night get some rest, we have a fun filled day for you tomorrow.

Day 2
After a hearty breakfast, you will be heading to the Derwent Valley Region with a highlight of New Norfolk and Mt Field National Park to experience the exhilarating Russell Falls, Lake
Experienced walkers may wish to tackle the 15.5 km Tarn Shelf Circuit, a 6-hour return loop walk from Lake Dobson car park. Have a read of the Mt Field National Parks brochure if this sounds appealing. Fenton and Lake Dobson. This region appeals to all fitness levels, offering walking options for everyone. The Russell Falls walk is a wheelchair friendly walk and leads to the stunning waterfall set amongst native forest consisting of towering swamp, dogwood and myrtle gums.
Heading back to your accommodation in New Norfolk, a must see stop is the Salmon Ponds. The ponds are stocked with rainbow and tiger trout and, true to the venue's name, Atlantic salmon. You can feed the fish, spot a platypus in the creek, take a stroll through the amazing 19th century garden and historical buildings and for afternoon tea spoil yourself with their famous pancakes.
Having checked into your accommodation, it is now time to explore New Norfolk, its antique stores and the eclectic Willow Court with its New Norfolk Distillery. The Agrarian Kitchen Eatery, one of the Derwent Valleys newest and brightest award winning restaurants, a great place for an afternoon tea.

Day 3
You’ll have booked a late flight out, of course, so on your way back to Hobart this morning, there's time to pop into Mona and spend a leisurely morning expanding your cultural sensitivities. Depending on your flight time, you can grab lunch at Mona while you’re there, or simply kick back on a bean bag chair on the lawn and enjoy some sunshine.
