The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra is one of the world's finest and has a regular schedule of shows within Tasmania.
Cinema buffs will find plenty of entertainment at Village Cinemas with all the major releases, while the State Cinema specialises in art-house and foreign films in a delightful, heritage-listed building.
Australia's oldest working theatre, the Theatre Royal, offers tours as well as a regular program of comedy, music and drama.
